The GSoC 2027 timeline is coming soon. Google has not announced the 2027 dates yet. Until then, this page lists the usual stages in order, without dates.

Google has not announced the dates for Google Summer of Code 2027. The official source is the Google Summer of Code timeline. We add the 2027 dates to this page once Google publishes them.
The usual stages, in order
The dates and rules change each year; the official timeline is authoritative.
- Organisations apply. Open-source organisations apply to Google to take part. Elixpo is applying at this stage.
- Organisations are announced. Google publishes the list of accepted organisations.
- Contributors apply. Contributors submit proposals through the official GSoC website.
- Community bonding. Selected contributors meet their mentors, study the project and plan the work before coding starts.
- Coding. Contributors carry out the project with regular review from their mentors.
- Evaluations. Mentors and contributors evaluate progress at the midterm and at the end of the programme.
