Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to personal information when you visit this site, write to us or apply to work with Elixpo in Google Summer of Code. It describes how the site and the programme work today.
Who we are
This site, gsoc.elixpo.com, is published by Elixpo, an open-source organisation, for its application to Google Summer of Code 2027. Questions about this notice go to gsoc@elixpo.com.
This website
- A static site. Every page is a pre-built file. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no forms and no comment boxes on this site.
- No cookies. The site does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser.
- No analytics or tracking. The site contains no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and no social media widgets.
- Fonts and images are served from this site, with one exception: the Mentors page and each project idea page show mentors' public GitHub profile pictures, which your browser loads from GitHub. GitHub receives that request under the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
- Links to other sites, such as GitHub and the Google Summer of Code site, take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes standard request information as the host, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser's user agent. Cloudflare handles this information under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Messages to gsoc@elixpo.com are received by Elixpo's organisers through Elixpo's mail provider. We use your message and address only to answer you and to run the programme. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share your message outside the people who need it to reply.
GitHub Discussions and issues
Questions in GitHub Discussions (which open for GSoC 2027 once Google announces the programme dates) and issues in Elixpo repositories are public: anyone can read them. GitHub operates these services under the GitHub General Privacy Statement. Do not post private information there; write to gsoc@elixpo.com instead.
Google Summer of Code applications
You submit your Google Summer of Code application and proposal to Google, through the Google Summer of Code site. Google processes that information under the Google Privacy Policy and the programme rules.
During selection, Google makes your proposal and application details available to Elixpo's organisation administrators and mentors. We keep this information within the organisers and mentors, use it only to evaluate applications and run the programme, and never publish it.
